ECOSYSTEM UPDATES

The Cardano ecosystem is growing, with the number of projects building rising to 2,014. Native tokens have reached 10.94 million, with 222,858 token policies. Smart contract deployment has also increased, with 142,558 Plutus scripts and 12,239 Aiken scripts now active. Governance participation remains strong, with 1,511 DReps, including 1,019 active. Development is vibrant, marked by 377 GitHub commits and an 18% weekly increase in developer activity.

• Midnight Network released a state of the network update, outlining the recent partnership announcements, information on the Glacier Drop, and more

• The Cardano Foundation plans to apply for the .ada and .cardano generic top-level domains (gTLDs)

• Wanchain have built a bridge connecting Cardano with Sonic

• HOSKY Fetch V2 – a Cardano Dex aggregator – launched this week

• Flux Point Studios launched a free Unreal Engine 5 SDK on Cardano.

SCALING

This week, the Mithril team continued implementing the first phase of decentralizing configuration parameters. They also completed enhancements to the client library and CLI, providing access to Cardano database incremental snapshots by epoch. Additionally, they continued working on the design of the snarkified certificates.

Finally, the team added a section on compatibility with the Cardano node to the GitHub release notes and worked on adapting the NPM package to the security changes.

VOLTAIRE

Applications for the Intersect committee elections closed on Friday, October 24, 2025. Candidates have applied for all the available positions, and voting will begin on Monday.

To be eligible, voters must have joined Intersect by noon UTC on Monday, October 27, 2025. Voting will run from October 27 to November 7, 2025 (noon UTC), followed by an audit phase from November 7 to November 12 to validate the results. Final results will be announced on November 14.

CATALYST

In case you missed this week’s Catalyst town hall, Plastiks.io joined in and shared some exciting updates on their Catalyst-funded project!

Their work on Cardano is making a real-world impact by creating a transparent, on-chain marketplace for verified plastic credits. This marketplace connects recovery organizations with global brands, serving as a powerful example of regenerative finance (ReFi) in action and demonstrating how blockchain can help clean up our planet.

EDUCATION

This week, the education team is focused on two main areas: developing new self-paced learning content and preparing for the next in-person developer course.

• Self-paced learning modules: the team has created some new self-paced learning modules for the comprehensive Cardano education program. This initiative expands on the team’s commitment to providing accessible, flexible education for the community.

• Cardano developer course in Buenos Aires: the team is finalizing preparations for the upcoming two-week course, scheduled to start on November 3 and predicted to be a major educational event in the region. This is a blended learning experience with some components being delivered online. Registration is now open

スケーリング
